The Rose - Bette Midler

1977年由亞曼達‧麥克布隆姆（Amanda McBroom）突然而來的靈感所作，因為友人的建議投稿後，由貝蒂密勒（Bette Midler） 在次年的電影《歌聲淚痕》（The Rose）中演唱，使得這首詞曲都十分動人的結尾曲造成轟動，該曲不但獲得金球獎，也於1980年獲得排行榜第三名，從此改變了亞曼達的生涯。即使國內外多有歌手翻唱，但仍屬貝蒂密勒演唱、亞曼達合音的詮釋最為著名。

在電影中飾演傳奇白人搖滾女歌手珍妮絲‧喬普林（Janis Joplin）的貝蒂密勒本人，也因這首歌獲得奧斯卡的題名，以及拿下金球獎最佳女主角、年度最佳新人。
